OUR STORY

Proverbs 27:17 didn’t start as a brand.
It started as a calling.
Jeff, the founder, knows what it feels like to be broken.
There was a season of his life marked by homelessness, addiction, and spiritual emptiness. Alcohol and pain pills controlled his days. Direction was gone. Identity was blurred. Faith felt distant. He wasn’t leading anyone — not himself, not a family, not a future.
He was a man dulled by life.
But God wasn’t finished.
In the middle of the chaos, God began to rebuild him — not overnight, but through hard lessons, discipline, repentance, and truth. Through Scripture. Through surrender. Through accountability. Through pain that refined instead of destroyed.
God didn’t just rescue Jeff.
He reshaped him.
Strength returned — first spiritually, then physically. Discipline replaced destruction. Faith replaced emptiness. And through that transformation, God made something clear:
This testimony wasn’t meant to stay personal.
It was meant to become a mission.
Jeff was called to use the wisdom forged through failure to teach other men how to rise — to become warrior-king spiritual leaders in their homes and communities. Men who protect. Men who provide. Men who pray. Men who lead with strength and humility under Christ.
That calling became Proverbs 27:17.
A brotherhood where faith and fitness work together.
A program that uses physical discipline to build spiritual authority.
A movement designed to sharpen men through accountability, truth, and brotherhood.
Because Jeff knows what happens when a man lives without direction.
And he knows what happens when a man surrenders to God and submits to discipline.
Proverbs 27:17 exists to help men step out of isolation, out of addiction, out of passivity — and into leadership.
Not perfect men.
Sharpened men.
Men forged by fire.
Ruled by Christ.
Ready to lead.
Iron sharpens iron.
And this organization was built so no man has to fight alone.
